This is a collector-grade Indonesian Javanese Keris (Kris), showcasing an 18th-19th century pamor meteorite blade, paired with a finely detailed gilded wooden sheath featuring intricate floral and bird scrollwork. The gnarled wooden hilt is fitted with a gilded metal collar, enhancing its ceremonial elegance.

The blade itself is crafted from layers of meteoritic nickel and iron, expertly forged by Javanese empus (bladesmiths). The pamor pattern—revealed through acid etching—displays striking silvery nickel streaks against deep iron tones, a signature of master craftsmanship.

Used as both a weapon and a spiritual artifact, the kris symbolized status, power, and protection. This example, with its split-design sheath and exceptional blade quality, reflects the enduring artistry of Indonesian metallurgy.
